Sucre, known as Bolivia's second capital or the white city, is a quiet colonial city that is located in the southwest of Bolivia, very close to Potosí. This city allows you to enjoy a wide range of historical and cultural attractions that will transport visitors to the colonial era, which is why it has been declared  a World Heritage Site.




ITINERARY


Day 1: CITY TOUR AND CRETACEOUS PARK – SUCRE

The city of Sucre is the constitutional capital of Bolivia. A place full of colonial landscapes and possessing a unique and fascinating history of this country.

We propose a city tour of the city visiting emblematic places of the city such as streets, museums, squares and main churches.

These are some of the places that will be visited:

Casa de la Libertad (Museum) CHURCH OF SAN LÁZARO AND STO. DOMINGO (DOORWAYS) Place where the act of independence was signed on August 6, 1.825 giving rise to the birth of the Republic of "BOLIVIA".

The Treasure Museum is located in one of the oldest houses in the city, which belonged to great figures in Bolivian history. It was built in 1560 and was completely restored in 2008 preserving a neoclassical style. The museum is aimed at awakening genuine and pleasant sensations to the visitor, showing in a unique and novel way, the origin, technique and art of Bolivian precious metals and stones. The art of silversmithing and goldsmithing in a tour that allows you to see the evolution of the techniques and art of Bolivian jewelry, from pre-Columbian times to the present day. The museum has an audiovisual room, the Silver Room, the Gold Room and a Jewelry Store

Later transfer to our hotel to have a pleasant dinner and rest.

DAY 2: Cretaceous Park - (Dinosaur Footprints)

In 1998, the population of the capital witnessed important paleontological findings for the Late Cretaceous, from 65 to 68 million years ago, the impressions left by the dinosaur species of that time are found on the Cal Orck'o cliff, owned by the domestic cement factory (FANCESA). Located 4.4 km northeast of the city of Sucre.

Cal Orck'o is the largest dinosaur footprint site in the world, the layers containing the footprints are located on the El Molino cliff. Cal Orck'o is the most spectacular site of its kind. It is the only site that concentrates the steps of a wide variety of dinosaurs that lived at the end of the Cretaceous period. Around 5055 individual dinosaur tracks, at least 8 species and 462 routes are combined into one continuous cliff. 

Cretaceous Park is located 300 meters from the cliff of the Cal Orck'o dinosaur footprints, Cretaceous Park is the only complex that offers the possibility of meeting the actors of paleontological heritage in one of the most authentic natural settings in Bolivia.
