DAY 1 SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA – POLQUES – LAGUNAS

Our staff picks you up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama (private only) very early in the morning by minivan (no guide, only driver), for subsequent transfer to the Hito Cajón border. Here we will migrate with the help of our staff and then embark on our adventure. We will change our transport to 4*4 minecarts with capacity for 6 pax. We entered the Eduardo Abaroa reserve. We move to the white and green lagoons, two jewels within a great desert, at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. Afterwards we head to the Dalí desert.

And you want to relax??, we deserve a hot spring bath. Don't forget your swimsuit! This is where we will have our lunch, later we head to the morning sun geysers. They are water sources that spring from the center of the earth at a temperature of 90°C. , Cracks through which volcanic lava comes out. We continue our journey and head to the Red Lagoon, migratory nesting center for more than 20000 flamingos of three species, at an altitude of 4380 meters above sea level and at the same time you will be able to observe flora and fauna of the place.

DAY 2 - LAGOONS, DESERTS AND WILDLIFE

We start our second day of adventure, we go north of the Uyuni salt flat (plus) or the south of the same name (basic).

We leave in the morning to the "jewels of the Bolivian highlands" Andean landscapes, it is a chain of lagoons that are home to thousands of flamingos. – (see gallery).

Over the course of the day we will have unique and beautiful views such as rock formations and viewpoints. And the rest of the day will depend on the visit you make during the year. (seasons).

Dry season (May to November)

PLUS: In the morning we will go to the Uyuni salt flat, arriving in the afternoon and we can start with the unique sunset that occurs in the place and it is there nearby, where we will have our rest in the town near the same salt flat. Hotel 3* - 4* Hotel Tayka de Sal or Tambo Coqueza

Basic and/or Standard: in the morning we will leave towards the Ollague Volcano, in the course of the road we will see flora and fauna of the place and unique mountain viewpoints. We will continue north and arrive at our basic hostel with private bathroom.

Rainy season (December to April)

Plus: After having had a trip full of wildlife, in the afternoon we leave in the direction of the town of Colchani, In the afternoon we will head towards the village of Colchani, on the edge of the salt flat. This is where the salt hotels are. And these are close to it. And before arriving at one of these hotels, we will have the sunset with photos decorated by the hand of God. Basic and Standard: we will travel through areas of the highlands of the country and pass through the towns of the place towards the city of Uyuni. DAY 3 - UYUNI SALT FLATS

A full day is dedicated to enjoying: the Salar de Uyuni.

Dry season (May to November)

Plus: in this package and in the dry season, we will visit the town of Coqueza, entrance before visiting the imposing Tunupa Volcano. We will have the option of doing or taking a moderate walk and from the top you will be able to appreciate the salt flat in all its extension of the salt flat. Later we can hike to Incahuasi Island, and visit the top and appreciate the salt flat in its 360°c and appreciate the giant cacti.

Basic and Standard: we are heading to the entrance to the salt flat and we are surprised to be able to appreciate the giant salt reserve unique in the world. And during the day we will spend the rest of the day with visits to the Dakar monument, stairways to heaven, water springs and more. And what better place to have our lunch at the first salt hotel. Rainy season (December to April)

Plus, Basic and Standard: at this time of the year, when it rains, the entrance is through the southeast part (in all packages), we will visit the town of Colchani, where you can see the manufacture of salt and its refining and you can buy salt crafts to take as souvenirs to your friends and family. And we will be on the edge of the salt flat, since it is a rainy season and you cannot enter the interior.

And because it is rainy season the salt flat is filled with water in its entirety and immediately we can walk on the sky – (see gallery) and you will have the day to find the perfect effect, for the perfect photo. After having an afternoon full of photographs, we will leave the salt flat and head south, passing through the town of Uyuni and having a brief stop at the train cemetery, arriving at the town of Mallku – Villamar to have our dinner and rest.

Day 4: RETURN TO SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA

This is our last day of the expedition, before reaching the border bound for Hito Cajon.

If you chose the option to return to Chile in a shared way, you will have to get up at 4.00 am to reach the 9.00 am minivan at the border. Now if your choice was in private, which we recommend, we will leave at our normal schedule to be able to arrive at the border at approximately noon.

Arriving at the border, our staff will assist you in immigration and at the same time help you to board your minivan that will take you back to San Pedro de Atacama.
